Kitchen Garden
Nutrition Gardens are created in different areas, particularly in communities that can invest their time and effort in these gardens. Seasonal plants, herbs, fruits, medicinal plants, vegetables and more are planted in enriched soil. As the plants mature and provide produce, they are reaped and used by the people. In their place, a new seed is sown for the next cycle. The vegetables from Thuvakkam’s nutrition gardens in schools are used for preparing the students’ mid-day meals.
