Building Awareness for a Greener and Sustainable Ramanathapuram

As part of the Pasumai Ramanathapuram initiative, we will engage with communities across our project locations to create awareness on key areas that contribute to sustainable rural development and environmental well-being.

The initiative will focus on helping communities understand the importance of e-NAM registration, regional green cover, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable water management practices.

Through community interactions and awareness activities, participants will be encouraged to understand how better access to agricultural markets, protection of natural resources, and responsible management of water and biodiversity can contribute to stronger and more sustainable communities.

Key Focus Areas

• e-NAM Registration: Creating awareness among farmers and communities about e-NAM registration and the benefits of connecting with a wider digital agricultural marketplace.
• Regional Green Cover: Promoting the importance of increasing and protecting local green cover through tree planting, tree care, and community participation.
• Biodiversity Development: Encouraging communities to understand and protect local flora, fauna, and natural ecosystems.
• Sustainable Water Management: Promoting responsible water use, conservation practices, rainwater management, and protection of local water resources.
